Ordering a Repeat Prescription
Order your repeat prescription online at a time that suits you.
Your details and information are protected by the highest standards of online security, so all you need to worry about is what to do with the spare time you’ve earnt.
Problems ordering online
Did you know you can manage repeat prescriptions in the NHS App?
You can easily choose where your prescriptions are sent. So, if you know you'll be away from home or you are moving home, you can change your nominated pharmacy from within the app.
You can also order your prescription at any time that suits you. There’s no need to wait to join a telephone queue or wait until the GP surgery opens.
Repeat Prescriptions
When a repeat prescription is required please bring your slip into the surgery during opening hours. We now do electronic prescriptions so please ensure you let the practice know which pharmacy you would like the prescription to go to.
You can also register for our online services and order via Patient Access, The NHS App or, our secure online form
We regret that repeat prescription requests cannot be taken over the telephone as this can lead to errors and may block the telephone lines for other patients. Also please do not ask for them during consultations as time does not permit this to happen.
Please allow 3 full working days for repeat prescriptions to be processed and 5 full working days for medication not on regular repeat.
- We ask that you do not submit a repeat prescription request 10 days before your due date.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
