Problems booking online appointments?
How Do I Make An Appointment?
We have more than 4,000 registered patients and recognise that sometimes getting an appointment may not be easy, but we do offer various alternatives, from a pre-booked morning and afternoon surgery, plus emergency telephone consultations, emergency appointments, along with extended hours. Please do not blame the receptionists if your ideal time is not available.
When phoning in you will be asked for the reason for your request. This will be so we can assign the best appointment with the most appropriately trained clinician for you. Did you know that your local chemist can now handle many minor ailments? If you do not pay for your medication, this can be extended to the chemist on prescription item
If you wish a telephone consultation kindly telephone the surgery between 9 and 11 and a message will be sent to the doctor, please give full details of what the problem is to the receptionist, the doctor will then contact you by telephone once surgery has finished for the morning.
Please Remember: As an urgent extra patient you will be “fitted” in on what is already a fully booked surgery and the doctor can only deal with the problem requiring immediate attention. If the doctor considers that your problem is not genuinely urgent, or if there is not sufficient time to deal with the matter thoroughly and carefully, you will be asked to make a routine appointment. This is the doctors decision.

Missed Appointments
When patients fail to attend a pre-booked appointment it prevents someone else being seen. If patients frequently fail to turn up or give enough cancellation notice (24) hours they may be asked to register elsewhere.
If you attend for an appointment 10 minutes or later you will be asked to reschedule and not be seen that day. This is the 10 minute rule
